The series focuses around many different protagonists who attempt to rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld, although their motives for doing so vary in each game. The antagonists are commonly characters who have betrayed the protagonist or his organisation, or characters who have the most impact impeding the protagonist's progress.

Video game developer DMA Design began the series in 1997, and it currently has ten stand-alone games and four expansion packs. The third chronological title, Grand Theft Auto III, was widely acclaimed, as it brought the series to a 3D setting and more immersive experience, and is considered a landmark title that has subsequently influenced many other open world action games and led to the label "Grand Theft Auto clone" on similar games. Subsequent titles would follow and build upon the concept established in Grand Theft Auto III. Film veterans such as Michael Madsen, Ray Liotta, Burt Reynolds, Dennis Hopper, Danny Trejo, Gary Busey, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Penn, James Woods, Joe Pantoliano, Jenna Jameson, Frank Vincent, Robert Loggia, Kyle MacLachlan, Phil Collins and Peter Fonda have all voiced major characters, and the series is critically acclaimed and commercially successful, having sold more than 114 million units, as of September 2011. · To restore your registry, choose the Restore tab from the navigation panel. Any registry backups will be listed together with the date and time that they were set. Click on the registry backup you would like resort to and click on the Restore button on the bottom right of the screen. Once the registry has been restored, you will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

In May 2012, a further update was released with the first 10 levels of the next episode Utopia.

and arrest the player, like the original Most Wanted. The game will feature a Blacklist of 10 racers, similar to the single-player section of the original Most Wanted, which featured 15 Blacklist racers. In this reiteration the focus shifts from Rockport, the city in the original to a new city called Fairhaven.

Most Wanted has been likened to Criterion's Burnout series. Like Burnout Paradise, races have a start and end point but players can choose their own route to the finish line, a departure from the original Most Wanted, but similar to "crew challenges" from the sequel, Carbon. Destructibles, such as billboards and fences; and drive-thru shops, such as petrol stations and repair garages, from Paradise are also featured.

The game will use Autolog, the competition-between-friends system developed by Criterion for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and since used in other titles in the Need for Speed series. Autolog in Most Wanted
plays a larger role and gives more information to players. Activities
in-game allow players to earn Speed Points which can boost players up on
the Most Wanted list. Autolog recommendations have now been integrated
into the game world, rather than sit externally on the menu system.

Most Wanted features a new social system called Cloudcompete, which strings together Most Wanted
across all platforms in an inspired example of cross-compatibility. One
profile will be used for all versions of the game, allowing the player
to rank up on one format and continue progress on another.

The driving model of the game has been described as "deep, physical and fun", not as arcade-styled as the Burnout series and Hot Pursuit, but far from a simulator. Most Wanted
has a range of real-world vehicles, a mix of muscle cars, street racers
and exotics, described as "the wildest selection of cars yet".
The cars can be altered with visual and performance upgrades, such as
paint colors, reinflatable tyres, suspensions, engine, nitrous oxide,
and body work that enables players to crash through roadblocks. A feature called EasyDrive enables players to customise their vehicles while in action. For the first time in Need for Speed
history, all of the cars will be available from the start, hidden in

Crazy Taxi is a open world racing video game developed by Hitmaker (Sega AM3) and published by Sega. It is the first game in the Crazy Taxi series. The game was first released in arcades in 1999 and was ported to the Dreamcast in 2000. Subsequently, it was ported to the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube by Acclaim in 2001, and then Microsoft Windows in 2002. The game was released on November 16, 2010 for the PlayStation Network and on November 24, 2010 for the Xbox Live Arcade. It is featured on the Dreamcast Collection. A port for the Zeebo is also planned, though no release date has been set.

Reception to Crazy Taxi has been mostly positive and it became one of the few Sega All Stars. It has also earned Greatest Hits status on PlayStation 2 and Player's Choice status on GameCube. Sega followed up on the success of Crazy Taxi by making a sequel, Crazy Taxi 2 for the Dreamcast, which included several gameplay changes. It would also be bundled with Crazy Taxi 2 in Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars, and later be bundled with other Dreamcast hits in Dreamcast Collection. Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller was released for the Xbox on July 23, 2002, and later released as a PC title in 2004.

The main objective of the game is to pick up customers and take them to their chosen destination as quickly as possible. Along the way, money can be earned by performing stunts such as near misses with other vehicles. The player is directed to a destination by a large green arrow at the top of the screen. The arrow does not adjust based on obstacles, but rather points in the general direction of the destination. Once the player arrives near the destination, they must stop within a specified zone. When the destination is reached, that customer's fare is added to the player's total money earned. Ratings are then awarded depending on how long the player took to complete the journey. If the customer's timer runs out before the player reaches the destination the customer jumps from the taxi.

Players can select three, five or ten minute settings, or the Arcade Rules used in the original coin-op version of the game. In the three time-limited settings, play continues for the designated period of time, after which the cab automatically stops and no more points can be scored. Under Arcade Rules, the player starts with an initial time limit of one minute, which can be extended through time bonuses earned for quick deliveries. Console versions of the game also feature a mode known as Crazy Box, a set of minigames that feature challenges such as picking up and dropping off a number of customers within a time limit, bowling using the taxi as a ball, and popping giant balloons in a field.
